I'm trying to install this mod using MO.
http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/34702/?
The FOMOD will not work with MO because of the Virtual File System unable to understand the FOMOD's Invalidation Archive thing.
I am trying to install this manually, and when I do the textures show up in game with the 'black underwear' bug. (Im using the Hi-Rez BOG skins NV HD Base Pack under optional files).
Has anyone successfully installed this mod using MO? If so, please share! I'm getting quite frustrated.
Edit: I've also contemplated installing with FOMM just for the sake of installing the mod, then returning to MO for everything else. Would that work?

I am asking this because I want to do the installation process correctly so that I don't have to end up uninstalling everything and reinstall the whole game again. I really want to use the type 3 body mod for TTW. But so far I'm reading you have to use FO3 textures and meshes and all of the files for FONV type 3 mod. So which ones specifically do I need? I have these two. Also how do I install it specifically? I want to know because I don't want to screw this up. I am also new to TTW.

I tried to find a video tutorial on how to install type 3 for TTW, but could not find one on YouTube. I am using FOMM to install all of my mods. Also the dark temptress outfit mod for Fallout 3. Is there a way to make it work for TTW? The outfit is linked below.

If I can get someone to help me to install these mods, it would be appreciated.

Ghoulified Moira, after Megaton's destruction Moira in Fallout Shelter |
Take care, it's a big Wasteland. But you'd know that better than me, right?
”— Moira Brown, Fallout 3Moira Brown (born 2253) is the eccentric owner of Megaton's Craterside Supply in Fallout 3.
- 3Interactions with the player character
Background[edit | edit source]
A self-styled inventor, Moira Brown (24) grew up in the trading community of Canterbury Commons with an uncommon curiosity about the world. She’s read almost every book that’s come through the town. Although her reading has taught her a wide variety of useful knowledge, she has nearly no actual experience with the world, so she doesn't always understand how it can be applied outside of her workshop. After a recent accident with a domesticated Centaur, Moira was inspired to write a book to help others survive in the Wasteland and avoid similar dangers. She just needs someone with real experience to test out her ideas and give her some real-world insight into life in the wastes.[1] Moira moved to Megaton a few years before 2277.
After writing the Wasteland Survival Guide (with the help of the Lone Wanderer) it became considerably popular, and has since managed to reach places like the Mojave Wasteland in less than four years.
Play Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes instead. You can be attacked even with a peace shield up and there are two or three alliances who are dedicated to just smashing miners. Star trek fleet command factions. This game has tons of potential but they have a long way to go to get me back. PAX was the main culprit on my server.
Daily schedule[edit | edit source]
Moira is the owner of Craterside Supply. She spends the day sweeping and trading as well as conducting odd experiments. She opens the store at 8:00am and closes at 8:00pm. She sleeps in the store as well. The only time she will leave is if Megaton is destroyed in the quest The Power of the Atom.
If The Wasteland Survival Guide (quest) is completed before Megaton is destroyed, she will instead stay near the entrance to the ruins, and only be able to repair, lacking an option to buy or sell items.

Effects of player actions[edit | edit source]
- If you decide to blow up Megaton, she will not die; instead she will become ghoulified. If you started the Wasteland Survival Guide quest, or met her to receive an armored Vault jumpsuit, you will have to visit the Megaton Ruins to find her. If you hadn't started it, she can be found in the Underworld, whereupon she will claim she was 'out-of-town' during the detonation, and apparently unaware of her recent affliction. Depending on how you break the news to her, she will either fall into despair or remain positive. Soon, she will leave for Underworld.
- Convincing her that writing The Wasteland Survival Guide is a bad idea, will make you miss out on the rewards available throughout the quest but convincing her not to will result in a 30% discount on her wares and increase her repair skill to 54 (72% condition). You will also lose karma and gain the Dream Crusher perk.

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
- Moira was originally named Lea, as indicated by her script notes (Lea's got her own ideas about whether or not it's 'wrong' to play God.).[2]
- Her ghoulification is a compromise to avoid locking out the player from the Wasteland Survival Guide quest, which would be a tangible consequence of blowing up Megaton.

Appearances[edit | edit source]
Moira Brown appears in Fallout 3 and Fallout Shelter as a legendary vault dweller.
Bugs[edit | edit source]
- PCPlayStation 3Xbox 360 Occasionally, Moira will not move from the Megaton ruins after the town has been destroyed if you have completed the quest The Wasteland Survival Guide. She will stand in front of Megaton and can only repair. This will happen also if you complete the quest by depressing her. She will only say usual things like 'Oh good. Someone who doesn't have a brahmin to wash up. That's a nice change.'
- PCPlayStation 3 After killing Moira, opening her Craterside Supplies container, and stealing an item, a voice clip of her saying 'Hey, that's valuable junk!' will play, even though she's dead.
- If you kill Moira and then decide to blow up Megaton, her body can be found outside of the Underworld entrance.
- PlayStation 3Xbox 360 In a very rare occasion if you save, kill Moira, and reload the save she will not be there and therefore rendered completely lost.
- PlayStation 3 In a very rare occasion when the player kills Moira using an explosive or using the bloody mess perk would find (if afterwards detonated the Atom bomb) Moira Brown floating outside Megaton in her 'corpse' pieces and any interaction with the lone wanderer is ignored.
- PC Attempting to trade with Moira Brown after she closes Craterside Supply each night results in her telling you that she's closed for the night. However, if you tell her 'I'm looking to buy some things for my house,' and then 'Okay, let me take a look at your stuff,' you can trade with her as if her store were open.

Enclave power armor is a general term that refers to various models of power armor used by the Enclave forces. All of them, aside from the X-01 power armor and the T-51b power armor, which remained in active use at least until 2242, were created by Enclave engineers and scientists after the Great War.
BackgroundEdit
- 2198: The Enclave begins the first work since the Great War on the development of various new technologies, including power armor variations. None of these are much of an improvement over the original pre-Great War models of power armor, and some actually prove to be worse when used in actual combat.
- 2215: Under Presidential order, the Enclave's scientists and engineers begin to work on an upgraded version of power armor that exceeds the performance of the T-51b model. Many prototypes are developed and tested.
- October 2220: Enclave scientists finally develop a reliable version of what they call 'advanced power armor.' The prototype's capabilities (and the various accidents, explosions, and deaths involved in its creation) are classified by order of the Enclave's President Dick Richardson for the sake of morale.
- Sometime after 2242: After the destruction of the Oil Rig, the Enclave finished developing a Tesla Power Armor based on the standard advanced power armor, which provides less protection than advanced power armor, Mk II, but allows the wearer to wield energy weapons more effectively.
ModelsEdit
T-51b power armorEdit
Gameplay articles: Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas
The T-51b powered Infantry armor represented the peak of armored infantry technology before the Great War, developed in the laboratories of the West TekResearch Facility. At the end of the Anchorage Reclamation in January 2077, the armor had become standard issue for American soldiers in the Army's Mechanized Cavalry Regiments. Now, only the most technologically advanced factions with ties to the pre-Great War American military or federal government, such as the Brotherhood of Steel or the Enclave, have access to this type of power armor.
The armor is fitted with a back-mounted TX-28 MicroFusion Pack which generates an output power of 60,000 Watts to power the HiFlo hydraulic systems built into the frame of the suit. Made of a poly-laminate composite, the outer shell of the T-51b is lightweight and capable of absorbing over 2500 Joules of kinetic impact. The 10-micron-thick silver ablative coating can reflect laser and other radiation emissions without damage to the composite subsurface. The armor usually carries enough fuel to last for one thousand years.
X-01 power armorEdit
Gameplay article: Fallout 76
The X-01 is an experimental Enclave power armor. It has very good ballistic resistance and excellent energy and radiation resistances. It is not easily damaged. When crafted, it is labeled 'Prototype X-01.' Functionally, Prototype and standard X-01 armor are the same except for the paint job.
Advanced power armorEdit
The armor was created by the Enclave's skilled team of engineers and scientists after the Great War, as a result of a research program initiated in 2198, part of a larger project to develop various technologies. In 2215 the first suit capable of out-performing the aging T-51b is manufactured, entering service in 2220. Various accidents, explosions, and deaths involved in its creation are classified by order of the Enclave's President Dick Richardson for the sake of morale.
It is composed of lightweight metal alloys, reinforced with ceramic castings at key stress points. The motion-assist servo-motors used in the armor appear to be high-quality as well, giving the wearer a +4 strength bonus. The suit has an auto-gyro system to keep it upright and the knees can be locked in position, to prevent the wearer from falling over, if he loses consciousness (i.e. takes a nap) on duty.[1] Additionally, like the T-51b, it includes a recycling system that can convert human waste into drinkable water, enhancing survival.[2]
The fan on the back suggests that the armor is powered by a miniature nuclear reactor.
Advanced power armor Mk IIEdit
Gameplay articles: Fallout 2, Fallout 3
Like its older counterpart, the Mk II version is matte black with a menacing appearance, but with a few significant differences. It is composed entirely of lightweight ceramic composites rather than the usual combination of metal and ceramic plates, with a back-mounted power pack, instead of the built-in ventilated power unit of its predecessor.
Early versions used under the command of President Dick Richardson in 2241 used a similar design to the standard advanced power armor. However, following the destruction of their oil rig headquarters, the Enclave forces who made their way to the Capital Wasteland had redesigned its appearance by 2277, while keeping the 'advanced power armor Mk II' designation.
Tesla power armorEdit
Mk I variantEdit
Fallout New Vegas Type 3m Clothing
Unlike the pre-War Tesla armor, this armor is a variant of the Enclave's advanced power armor jury-rigged with a Tesla device that is capable of dispersing a large percentage of the damage done by directed-energy attacks. Additionally, the armor makes the operation of energy weapons by the wearer easier, boosting the energy weapons skill of the operator.
The fan on the back suggests that the armor is powered by a miniature nuclear reactor.
The only known suit of this type is the Gannon family Tesla armor.
Mk II variantEdit
Gameplay article: Fallout 3
This armor is a variant of the Enclave's advanced power armor, Mk. II, outfitted with a Tesla device that is capable of dispersing a large percentage of the damage done by directed-energy attacks. Additionally, the armor makes the operation of energy weapons by the wearer easier, boosting the energy weapons skill of the operator.
Hellfire power armorEdit
This armor is the result of a post-War research and development project undertaken by the Enclave at the Adams Air Force Base. It was one of several concurrently active research projects, including one on eyebots and a material called Duraframe, but ultimately came to be the most in-demand project fully completed; other projects, much to the chagrin of researchers such as Whitley, were canceled in favor of the new model of power armor by Colonel Augustus Autumn.[3]
As state of the art power armor, it is conclusively the best and most advanced model of power armor revealed to date. It provides its wearers with more protection than any other form of armor produced post-War, due to its unique Duraframe components and high resistance to heat.
Athena power armorEdit
The following is based on Van Buren and has not been confirmed by canon sources. |
An incomplete power armor project pioneered by the Enclave in conjunction with Poseidon Energy. According to initial tests, it had defensive capabilities above and beyond any other infantry armor in use before the Great War.
